Charter schools are independently operated public schools. Families can choose to send their children to a public charter school outside of their assigned district school. There is no tuition to attend a public charter school. Charter schools have flexibility in choosing curriculum and teaching methods, but they must test students and report results, just like district-run public schools.

Attending Palm Bay Elementary is free. There is no tuition. We are a publicly funded charter school, funded based on the per-student allocation from the state and district. Free breakfast and lunch are provided to all students every school day. Families may occasionally be asked to contribute to the cost of a field trip or special classroom experience.
