Dress Code

• Only collared or crew-neck tops. No scoop necks or V-necks.
• Tops must have sleeves and fit properly. No cropped or altered shirts.
• Tops can’t be see-through or so tight they show underwear or skin.

• Bottoms must fit properly and sit at the waist.
• Shorts, skirts, and dresses must end within 5 inches of the kneecap, measured standing up.
• No holes, rips, or tears within 5 inches of the kneecap.
• Dresses must have sleeves that cover the underarm.
• Leggings, yoga pants, and tights are allowed only with a long top. The top must reach past your fingertips when your arms hang at your sides.

• Closed-toe and closed-back shoes are preferred
• Bedroom shoes and shower shoes are not permitted

• Long-sleeved sweaters, sweatshirts, and hoodies may be worn
• Hoods may not be worn indoors at any time

Our goal is to keep the focus on learning — not on what anyone is wearing. We expect students to help keep the campus respectful and distraction-free. Please note:

• On any judgment call, the final decision is up to Central High staff.
• We review the dress code regularly and may update it at any time.
• Students who keep breaking a rule may lose related privileges.
• Students out of dress code will be sent home right away.
